Meet Tyra

Tyra was found at just three months old roaming the streets of New Delhi all alone. Her rescuers tried to locate Tyra’s mother but they had no luck in reuniting her with her family. They had been told that she had been crying all morning. Furthermore, she had a wound on her head, which was caused by some kids in the neighbored. Lastly, she was covered in mud and fleas.

Thankfully her rescuers knew that they couldn’t leave her on the streets to die. So they scooped her up and brought her to a vet to make sure she was healthy.

Months went by and no one wanted to adopt this sweet girl. But, then her lucked changed, as a family in Canada wanted to adopt her. Tyra landed in Vancouver on February 21st 2019.  In no fault of her own her new family did not work out as they were not prepared in what it took to raise a puppy.

Her rescuer in India was frantic and very worried about Tyra’s future.  Luckily, our Foundation was contacted and we were happy to take over Tyra’s care and adoption.

Tyra, now Sadie, has been adopted to the most amazing family who loves taking her on adventures. Now Sadie gets to go sailing every weekend.
