Meet Lara

Lara was abandoned on the streets of Bangalore as a young puppy. Lara was with three other dogs that were all around the same age. Since they we so weak and young they began getting attacked by local packs of dogs. Since Lara had no mom to protect her she progressively get sicker and weaker.

Ultimately, Lara was rescued from the streets and was immediately rushed to the vet by her rescuer. Since, her rescuer was already fostering another dog, Veera, along with having her own pets, she had to take Lara to a paid boarding facility. Being off the streets gave Lara the time to recover and to become a healthy dog.

Finally, Veera and her rescuer received amazing news that there was a family that wanted to adopt her in Tacoma Washington. Not only did they want to adopt Veera but one of the other rescue dogs, Lara. Delhi the Street Dog Foundation raised the funds for their flight to their forever family. A flight volunteer agreed to help transport the dogs from Bangalore to the Seattle Airport.

Veera and Lara arrived to Seattle on January 30th 2019. Their new family was waiting to pick them up at the airport. They now have a big back yard and a big brother.
